Accessing Materials & Submitting Coursework

All of your course materials and resources are made available to you from this website. Hovering over the "Course Materials" tab above will let you click to the Readings, Major Assignments, and Other Resources pages as they populate throughout the semester.

As you may have guessed, the Readings link will give you access to all of the course readings, which can be accessed online. Check the course calendar to see which reading is due each week; in general, it is my recommendation that you complete these readings by Wednesday of each week to make sure you have enough time to digest them and complete any associated Online Activities.

Finally, you will also be expected to participate in our weekly asynchronous discussions on Slack, most of which rely on our weekly readings as starting points. As mentioned in the course Syllabus, you will want to aim for at least 1 original post contribution and at least 2 responses to your peers each week for these discussions. As both your contribution and responses are due each Sunday by 11:59 PM EST, it is my recommendation that you post your original contribution no later than Friday each week to give everyone enough time to respond.

You will submit your work to me via Slack. The video here shows you how and where to do so, but in general, you will submit any Online Module activities, Reflections, and Major Assignments to me through the private messaging feature on Slack.

You may choose to create a google doc for this work and share the link with me, submit individual files as either Word Documents or .pdfs, or copy/paste your responses in the text box on Slack. If you are taking the copy/paste method, I highly recommend keeping a backup of your work somewhere, just in case Slack crashes or something happens that it gets lost before I see it.

If you ever are unable to submit something via Slack or unsure where to go, please email me your assignment ASAP. While I will provide feedback and scores via Slack, it is up to you to keep track of your grade, knowing that you are welcome to ask me your current standing in the course at any point.*

*I calculate grades sporadically, so it may take me a little bit to get an accurate response back to you. Please be patient, or keep a running tab so you can make this calculation yourself.
