Remixing
As we move forward with multimodal writing, you will have a few chances to do some multimodal remediations. To start, though, we wnat to practice what's at the heart of the remediation process: remixing. Much like when you hear a remixed song, remixing is when you take what already exists abd bring it together to make something new, but that still often illustrates its connection to the source materials. This activity, then, will ask you to do just that, before we start messing with any of the multimodal parts.
For this activity, please complete the following:

1. Use Google to pull up the lyrics of 2 or more songs of your choice. You can choose whatever you want, but it may be easier to choose two songs of the same language here.

2. Using only lyrics from the songs, perform your first remix by mixing and matching the lyrics until you're happy with the end result.Note: You should ONLY use words available from the lyrics themselves, but can delete and re-order them in whatever way you like.

3. Using both the song lyrics AND adding additional words as needed, perform your second remix. Note: As with the first remix, you can arragne and delete lyrics as you see fit, but also have the option to add additional words or phrases this time around.

4. Once you've done both remixes, think about the differences it made when you had to use only lyrics from the source materials versus when you could also add your own content. Which of these remixing processes was easier, and why? Which do you think yeilded the better result, and why?

5. Send me your original lyrics, both remixes, and response to Step 4 via Slack by the assigned due date.

This activity is due by 11:59 PM EST Sunday 10/25 via Slack.
